The story of the Nic L Inn begins back in 1977, and began as a love story. Nick met Lyn at Dockside Harbor, a restaurant owned and operated by his family. They fell in love, got married, and a few years later opened their own restaurant which they appropriately named the Nick L Inn. During the restaurant's construction, Lynette found out she was pregnant with their first daughter, Nicolette who was often carried around the restaurant, meeting and greeting patrons, playing hostess and playing with the soda gun. Fast forward just a few years (ha), Nicolette and Lynette have teamed up to bring another version of one of the area's favorite original restaurants back to Poughkeepsie!
This spring, our team has been working tirelessly to bring you a new and improved version of the Nic L Inn, complete with a marketplace. The Cellar Market & Bistro is a collaboration of the best ideas we've developed over the last few years. It is simplicity at its finest. The best ingredients available, the freshest local produce, and the best Hudson Valley meats made their way onto our menu. Shop in the market, relax on our porch, come by after your morning walk for a coffee and pastry. Serving brunch daily, pastries and desserts made in house, pasta cooked to order just the way you like it. Everyone's favorite things brought together in one place!
